Welcome to Ballymena RFC @ Eaton Park – Est 1887

Saturday was a good day for the club, with the firsts winning their National Cup tie against Bond’s Glen by 35 runs.
Michael Glass was the standout performer, with his quickfire 29 easing the home side to a competitive total of 185-9 in their 40 overs, after Kaushik Aphale and John Glass had laid the foundations with knocks of 57 and 45 respectively.  Michael then left the visitors reeling, taking 6 wickets for 25 runs to see the North West side struggling at 66-8. Although the Bond’s Glen rearguard fought back in style, the total always looked out of reach and so it proved with Alphie taking the final wicket with the visitors still 35 runs short.
The team will now meet Fox Lodge Cricket Club in the next round.
