The fourth Long Table lunch, and the first of this winter season, was held on Wednesday 4 November, when 60 guests enjoyed another excellent lunch and a thoroughly entertaining review of his broadcasting career by BBC sports commentator Jim Neilly.
Among those present were ex internationals Ronnie Lamont, Ian McIlrath and Syd Millar, with Ian acting as MC for the day in his own relaxed and amusing style.
Having started with the lunches limited to 40 guests and held in the Millar McBride room, the popularity of this event meant a move to the main hall, which provided the necessary additional space and yet retained the comfortable and cosy ambiance that has made these lunches such a success.
The next lunch will be held on Wednesday 9 December when the chief guest will be Michael O’Neill, the NI football manager. Michael will relate some of the stories behind Northern Ireland’s qualification for next years European championships, and will take part in a conversation on stage with Jackie Fullerton.
Bookings are already heading to capacity, so if you want a seat please book as soon as possible (incl. payment) with Cormac at the bar (25656746).
